Today we are hopping over the Pond to Colorado for this 3 day wedding celebration of same-sex couple Lindsay and Suzanne. The wedding has been sent into me by Rusty Wright from RJ Stills who has done a fabulous job of capturing the relaxed events of this weekend wedding.
The Wedding itself is totally DIY from the flowers, to the decoration to the food. Lindsay and Suzanne played a key role in pulling every element of this wedding together and were helped out by their friends and family. I love that these wedding photos show the whole weekend so we really get a feel for what the couple are like, from the Friday evenings events right through to the Sunday! A beautiful day, beautifully captured by Rusty.
Rusty tells us a bit more about the wedding day……………
Instead of just a one-day ceremony, Lindsay & Suz put together a Friday-Saturday-Sunday camping celebration.
DAY 1: Opened with an evening of stargazing, and story-sharing.
DAY 2: (part1) The morning of the ceremony, their guests convened for breakfast and a short hike (followed by impromptu lawn games).
DAY 2: (Part2) Their ceremony ended with their friends & family seeing them off on a canoe-ride across the lake, and then greeting them again on the opposite side. Then, their good friends the Patti Fiasco band joined them for an evening of dancing and singing.
DAY 3: Lastly, Sunday morning, everyone joined together one last time for mimosas and brunch.
All the beauty of the mountains and a whole lot of love were present for their weekend.
Lindsay & Suz, with help from their families, DIY’d just about everything, from decorations, to pot-luck style meals, to desserts
