Saturday Cinema: Vanessa and Simeon’s barn dancing wedding by Love Gets Sweeter

Hello to you all and welcome to the weekend! It’s a cold one so I hope you are all staying warm and toasty! Today on Saturday Cinema, I have a gorgeous film by the lovely Charlene at Love Gets Sweeter. It’s the wedding of Vanessa and Simeon who were married on 26^th August 2011 at Great Fosters, Egham, Surrey.

The wedding is just lovely and the efforts that Vanessa has gone through to make all the details perfect are amazing, even helping out with the venue decoration the day of the wedding! But it’s worth it as all the little details are perfect, as well as those yellow bridesmaids dresses and the barn dance…..and the Look Vanessa gives Simeon in the ceremony……priceless!

I asked Charlene what her favourite part of the wedding was ‘I have to say that I really, really loved their barn dance! Vanessa was a little worried about guests not enjoying this part of the day-as some had been quite vocal about the fact-but it really got everyone laughing and chatting to people they hadn’t had the pleasure of chatting to or even meeting yet! It really set the tone for the rest of the evening! But on a serious note, I really liked how they showed off the two different cultures. Vanessa’s family are from Venezuela and the service reflected their beliefs and the speeches made fun of the Mum and Step Dad’s wedding in a bar over there!’

What do you think makes a good wedding video? ‘For Vanessa and Simeon’s film it was nice to be able to spend a lot more time with them in the morning. Vanessa was very active in getting the venue ready for the day and I even found myself getting stuck in to help them get the little details finished! With all our films it’s about personality and I take in everything on the day so that I can create a film that is a true reflection of their day and them as a couple. They had so many wonderful details and plans for their guests that we had to capture it all! From a balloon release, a wonderful cake made by a family friend from Holland, a photobooth created by the Groom himself, the barn dance, the props for the group shots….a wonderfully fun wedding that everyone clearly enjoyed! Here’s what Vanessa’s reaction was to the Highlights film…’

“Oh my goodness! Charlene, the highlights are beautiful! Simeon and I absolutely love it, it brought a tear (of happiness of course) to my eye! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!! I just want to say that Simeon and I are so glad that we did manage to book you for the wedding- what you have done for the highlights alone has been amazing. I’ve watched it so many times and each time it makes we cry to think how happy I was on the day. I wish I could do it all again. Sim and I are still telling people that booking you was the best decision we made with regards to the organising of the wedding . I am so glad that you were able to do it at such short notice. :)”
