Saturday Cinema: AM Showing A gorgeous vintage inspired wedding by Top Room Wedding Videos

Happy Saturday everyone and welcome to Satrurday Cinema . The mornings featured presentation is brought to you by Michael Crawford from Top Room Wedding Videos. Michael is relatively new to the wedding industry so when he sent me in his work I was really pleased to see something I liked instantly. It’s the wedding of Hannah and Andrew Pattison who were married on 13th August 2011 at St. Mary’s Church, Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire with the reception at Bedford Hall, Thorney, Cambridgeshire.

It’s such a sweet wedding, I love Michael’s style of filming, his vintage style fits the wedding perfectly., also his choice of music to go along with the film is perfect!  Hannah is just gorgeous (a red-head like me) with a beautiful dress and Andrew is looking pretty sharp in his suit! I am loving all the little homemade touches, and look out for the bit when they come out the church those ribbon wands are AMAZING!!!

I asked Michael what was his favourite part of the wedding was  ‘The attention to detail. The wedding had a ‘vintage’ theme and that was wonderfully displayed at the reception venue. They had really gone to a lot of trouble to personalise the décor and other little ideas like typewriter for their guests to type messages.’
What do you think make a good wedding video?  ‘I think there are a number of things that can come together to make a good wedding video.
Firstly, having wonderful weather and a beautiful church and reception location can go a long way to making a video stand out.
I think a video needs to attempt to capture the spirit of the day and reflect the personalities of the couple highlighting not just the big moments but the small details they’ve gone to the effort of including in their day. One of the things I try to bear in mind is that I’m trying to capture moments that the Bride and Groom don’t get to see so that when they watch it it’s not just a reminder of the day but they see lots of things they didn’t even know happened!
From a post production point of view, I think that the music you choose and how you edit to it is very important and colour grading to create a certain ‘look’ or style is important too’
