The velvet store is based in Brighton and has 2 shops as well as an extensive on-line store. They sell a wonderful range of wedding decorations and favours as well as interiors including small furniture, home accessories and gifts all at affordable prices. It’s the perfect place to go to if you are getting married as you can choose from their selection of tea light holders, favours, faux flowers, cake stands, parasols, lanterns, garlands, bunting, place settings, napkins, photo holders, table decorations and bird and butterfly clips galore…………a whole world of wedding pretty for you to lust over!

Personally I LOVE this store, and have used them on several occasion for weddings I have worked on. Their customer service is outstanding, with their staff going out fo their way to help me with a specific request. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Company founder and co-director Emma Harrop tells us a bit more about Velvet Store
‘We have had 2 Velvet shops in Brighton and Hove for 10 years, launching the Velvet Store website 3 years ago and our wedding decorations and favours range last year. For a decade Velvet has been providing Sussex brides with lovely bits and pieces for their weddings as well as an extensive range of home accessories, gifts and small furniture. Velvet has expanded from a small local boutique to a website taking sales from across the country; our origins as a small family run business mean we take care of all of our customers, so that customers in Scotland receive the same high level of service as our in-store customers in Sussex.’

‘We have a dedicated wedding team who love to help couples find the perfect decorations for their big day.  We believe in the quality of our products and that everything on our site can later be re-used as home accessories – so we encourage our brides to shop for centre pieces which will later find a place in their homes and for table decorations which can double up as favours for guests.’

The winner is Elizabeth Roberts, and her reason for entering was
‘I’d like to win the Velvet wedding decorations pack for my best friend who I am bridesmaid for next year. She’s having a country/vintage wedding on a serious budget (as in “she’s moved back in with her parents whilst saving for the wedding” budget) and these decorations would be so perfect for her day and really put a smile on her face.’
