Prada Shoes, a hand made suit and a £90 wedding dress…….Naomi & Stephen get married.

Today I have a gorgeous wedding brought to you by my good friend Shelly from Toast of Leeds . I have featured Shelly numerous times on the blog now and as she only lives 40 minutes away from me I get to see her quite  a bit! (especially now she has a new puppy…who is the cutest thing EVER!) May I also say that she has the most gorgeous house and the BEST taste in interior design! I love Shelly’s style of photography, she creates crisp clean images but at the same time is able to mix it up with an alternative twist. She works with all sorts of brides and grooms, from traditional, to modern to vintage to pure rock and roll, it’s great to see such diversity in her work!

So today’s wedding is an elegant and classic day mixed with a  modern twist. I just LOVE the flowers, I think that green and white may be my favourite colour way when it comes to flowers, so clean and fresh and the flowers that Sian at the Disbury Flower Lounge created for Naomi and Stephen are just stunning, and compliment Eaves Hall perfectly. We met at college, been together 11 years

What made you decide to get married where you did?
We loved the building and grounds plus it was the best place for under our budget. We wanted somewhere small where we can have the run of the entire place, def nothing modern! Food was a really important factor for us

Who was your dress by:
I got my dress off a website, rock bottom bargain price of £90 blew the rest of my budget on my stupidly high shoes prada shoes

And the suit?
Stephen got his suit hand made cause he’s so lanky! it was from a old guy in Manchester’s nothern quarter called vic the tailor and his tie was from hugo boss

How would you sum up your day?
Relax family fun day, just the feel we wanted

Did you have a theme or colour scheme?
Relaxed classic feel, vintage touches, midnight blue, grey and cream colours

Did you have any personal touches? Or things that you did yourself?
We did a lot of it ourselves to save money, my mum keeps bees so we did honey favours and honey fruit cake. All the print and design was done by us as we’re graphic designers so that save a lot of costs

How many guests?
60 to the day, 85 in total in the evening. We only wanted a small do

What were your special moments or highlights?
The photo booth we amazing in the evening, all the games I bought for outside went sown a storm too… as there was a bowling green

Is there anything you would do differently?
Prob wouldn’t have put so much money behind the bar, far too many people got too drunk too early! We got a cancelation so we had to get married at 11!!! Bit harsh making everyone get up that early

What advice would you give any other couples?
Moodboards and visual aids really helped me see what I wanted to do, try and use friends and local people.. you can get a bargain when you ask people

What was your biggest surprise of the day?
That my 86 year old grandma lasted from 8am to 2am!!! She’s a trooper
