Shiny Happy Sponsors: Introducing Kissing gate Video and a few reasons why you should book a wedding videographer

Wedding Films are something I feature a lot on the blog, especially within my Saturday Cinema feature! Yet to a lot of weddings they are still something that gets over looked. Not all weddings will be captured on video, with many brides and grooms relying on the photos only to capture the day! But wedding videos have come a long way these days. No longer are you threatened with the prospect of going round to your friends house months after their wedding to sit through hours of home video, these days they are professionally put together, edited and made into short bite sized films that are easy and highly enjoyable to watch!

So that brings me onto todays featured sponsor, Ben from Kissing Gate Video. Ben is one of the best in the business, and after meeting him a few months ago I can highly recommend him! I asked Ben to show 3 examples of his work and also to put a few words together on why couple should look at hirering a wedding videographer for their wedding day.

‘Wedding films are not what they used to be. I like to think that there are a number of Wedding videographers who continue to push the boundaries and make the old and cheesy wedding videos a think of the past. We approach each wedding with a view to making something beautiful and unique as opposed to just turning up, filming everything that happens and editing it all into something that your uncle could have done himself for free. Your uncle wouldn’t make your dress or take your photos, so having a wedding film is best left to a professional too.’

‘So many brides that I speak to, tell me that they have friends who recently got married and the one thing that they regret is not having their day filmed. The rest tell me that they have friends who recently got married and that the best decision they had made was to have their day filmed. The ability to have your wedding video online pretty much instantly is a great way for family members overseas to get a ‘feel’ of the day and on numerous occasions this has proven invaluable. Of course, photos will do this for you too, but you can’t hear the vows or the speeches on a picture…’

Thank you Ben! I hope it gives you all some food for thought!
