A ‘Royal Bride’ photo shoot in celebration of todays’ Royal Bride!

So today’s the day of the Royal Wedding! I ran a royal wedding post on Wednesday but couldn’t ignore the events of today, so to celebrate the wedding  I thought I woud share with you this ‘Royal Bride’ photo shoot that I had sent into me by Jess Petrie. I have featured Jess before on the blog and she has recently moved to Sheffield. I am hoping that we will be able to meet up for tea and cake soon, and hopfully become good friends!

I’ll let Jess tell you a  bit more a but her reasonings behind the shoot:
Sometimes when you run your own business you have to take risks, spend money you don’t have, push the boundaries, and continuously look for ways to ‘over achieve.’ I’ve had this idea of doing a themed bridal shoot in my head for almost a year!
The time finally came after 2 months of moving into our new home in a completely different location (250miles different to be precise).   I knew it was going to be tough relocating with a business, where would all of my clientele come from?  Who would recommend me?  It was time to get creative and start finding others nearby within the industry & make new friendships.  But what would be the theme?  Well with the Royal Wedding coming up what better theme could there be?  Perfect timing I’d say.

By manifesting my project in this way I wasn’t only showing off my own style and ideas of artistic and dramatic creation to potential clientele but I was able to collaborate, meet and work with local suppliers.  What better introduction could there be?

With the contacts I already had, and through recommendations I found the perfect team to work along side me on the perfect project (I believe very strongly in recommendations btw).  I have to thank the lovely Kelly from Boho Weddings and Events for being a great help and support throughout with her incredibly long list of suppliers. Thanks to my wonderful mum for her support and fab cupcakes and my fiancé Duraid for letting me spend the weekend working on my project and neglecting him, not to mention turning the house  & garden into a salon come studio come crazy place!

I have really met some great suppliers through this collaboration who are really lovely people and I feel very positive about working with them on a regular basis.

Special thanks to Ivan & Francesca at Choola Bridal Boutique for supplying the bride’s dresses and accessories and welcoming me as a new creative to the area.  Natalie at LOVE Bouquets for the Union Jack/Royal Wedding inspired bouquet-for life and new friendship! Nikoletta Peter MUA for her time and patience, fab make-up and new friendship.  Chatsworth House for the amazing rooms & enchanted gardens that helped to create the feel.  And last but never least my super model Agi Banas… Thank you for being a star for 7 whole hours and not complaining once, and looking stunning throughout!  What a true trooper!

Royal Bride

My biggest thanks to the “real” Royal Bride & Groom; William & Kate, for inspiring my theme of the shoot and giving me a time scale to work towards!  I love deadlines…

Wow, fabulous dress and stunning images. Just beautiful. At Chatsworth myself tomorrow for a pre wedding shoot. Anything in the ballpark to this, I’ll be very happy.

These really are wonderful pictures. Especially love the ones with the pillars and the tree lined drive. Looks like a wonderful place.
