”With a background in vintage clothing and costume design, it’s not been a huge leap for me to find myself in the world of weddings – all that drama, sparkle and magic is right up my street!
Like many people in this industry, it was only after my own wedding last year did I really begin to wonder if I could make a living selling my designs. Having taken the plunge, I have recently launched Button Moon Bouquet, where I make unique vintage button and jewel bouquets and accessories. I love to create something totally unusual and bespoke for my clients, and I get real pleasure knowing my designs have the potential to become an heirloom, passed down though generations.”

”Alternative bouquets are becoming more and more popular, particularly with brides getting married abroad, with allergies, or just want something a little bit quirky.
I have brought together a selection of beautiful and imaginative items for the bride who doesn’t want traditional flowers, but still wants to make a statement as she walks down the aisle!
I wanted to find bouquets that completely stepped away from flowers altogether, so rather than silk or paper blooms, here is something completely different!”

Now this one really is thinking outside the box, and any quirky lady who wants to be the centre of attention can’t help but smile at this – it’s made from glass baubles, like you get on the Christmas tree! It’s so bright and colourful; it would look lovely with a 1950’s style wedding dress with a brightly coloured petticoat. You could even hang individual baubles around the venue to tie the theme together. SO kitsch!

And finally, this is one of my bouquets- made from vintage buttons, brooches and glass beads, it sparkles and charms it’s way into the hearts of brides all over the world, and like all the bouquets listed here, will last a lifetime, and can be passed down to children and grandchildren as a truly personal wedding gift. Oh, and it looks great displayed on a mantlepiece or in a vase too!
