Well hello Friday! What a very strange week this has been! These are certainly very unsettling times for us all, this time last week things seemed very different, what a difference a week makes! With the closing of the schools this afternoon, I, like many of you, will be juggling working from home with child care as of next week. I will be keeping the blog running throughout and will do my best to keep things as normal as possible, but this is new territory for us all, so please bare with me if things aren’t as regular as they have been. I promise I will do my best to make sure you have a daily dose of wedding pretty to escape to each day. So on with today’s wedding and we have the gorgeous Natalie and Steven sharing their magical flower filled day with us. The colour palette is soft, natural and romantic. They have some absolutely stunning decoration, making their day super beautiful and ever so stylish. Big thanks to MLE Picture for the gorgeous images.
Natalie and Steven were married on 2nd November 2019 at Terrain Gardens, Devon, Pennsylvania. ‘I fell in love with Terrain when I visited the Glen Mills location. Such a magical, fairy tale place! Couldn’t imagine having my wedding anywhere else! We had 115 guests and it took just under 10 months to plan.’
How they met
We met online! We’ve been together for almost 4 years now.
The proposal
Steven took me on a weekend getaway to the Poconos in a beautiful log cabin. We snowboarded all weekend and by the end of the weekend, we sat and had drinks by the fire and he proposed!
How did you allocate your budget?
We came up with a budget together and put together an excel sheet and used Zola to keep track of our budget/spend as well. It was super helpful. And kept timeline on track.
Where did you splurge and where did you save?
Definitely splurged on decorations and flowers. I had a very distinct image and wanted to bring it to life.
How did you choose your photographer?
We found MLE pictures from Instagram! I noticed Emily had done numerous Terrain weddings and I loved the way she captured light and nature. Her work is stunning.
The dress
My dress is the Valera Gown from BHLDN by Anthropologie.
The suit and bridesmaids
Suit is from Brookes Brothers and Bridesmaids dresses are also BHLDN by Anthropologie!
Theme or colour scheme
Neutrals, Romantic, Rustic feel. And of course LOTS of candles!
Flowers
An assortment of neutral colour flowers with a pop of dark purples, reds and greenery. And a splash of fuzzy flowers pulled it all together!
Decoration
Lanterns, logs, candles and greenery.
Food
Steven had the filet mignon and I had the Red Snapper. Everything was perfect!
Wedding cake
The Sugary. Our cake was vanilla chocolate chip, chocolate with caramel icing and caramel drizzle. It was AMAZING!
Entertainment
DJ!
Who supplied the stationery?
Minted
Personal touches
My best friend Jenn did macramé decorations on Steve and I’s chairs. She does beautiful work. Her company name is KnottedDreamsbyJ on Instagram.
Special moments
Absolutely loved the alone moments I had with Steve after the ceremony and all the dancing!
Advice for other couples
Take it all in!
Biggest surprise
