Paulina and Moska’s ‘Four Seasons in One day’ Bohemian Polish Wedding by Karol Nycz

Happy Thursday everyone. As we reach the latter end of the week, the weekend is in touching distance. I hope you have been able to enjoy some of this lovely sunny weather we have been having here in the UK, hasn’t it been glorious! This morning I am taking you off to Poland for this summer wedding filled with a number of different weather elements. From brilliant sunshine, to wind and heavy rain, this wedding sees it all. Paulina looks amazing in her meLove two piece gown and flower crown, while Moska looks equally as handsome. A surprise arrival to their reception by boat tops off the wedding in style. All of which was captured perfectly by Karol Nycz.

It was the most important day of our lives full of different emotions, tears and joy. Our wedding day contained almost every possible summer weather – it was crazy hot, it was cloudy, there was an enormous wind and a heavy rain.

Paulina and Moska were married on 21st June 2018 at Saint Joseph Church in Swietochlowice, Silesia in Poland and the reception at Restaurant „Przystań” in Tychy. ‘We wanted to have a lake and a forest near our reception and restaurant „Przystań” is located just near Paprocany lake. Additionally, we had a possibility to arrive at the restaurant in a boat what was very nice for us and surprising for our guests. we had about 30 guests, We’ve started to think about certain elements of the wedding 2 years before but the most important aspects of the wedding were planned and organized during the year.’

How they met
We’ve met in a school where during 2 years we were limited only to „Hello”. Both of us were in love with each other and after these 2 years we’ve changed our „Hello” to the first walk. And then.. we were together for almost 8 years.

The proposal
It was one of our typical dates. We entered the car and suddenly instead of arriving at the restaurant we stopped in place where we first met. Wojtek gave me the first rose. Then we came back to the car and went to the second place where we decided to be together. After that there were 2 more places which are important for us. At the last one Wojtek proposed.

How did you allocate your budget?
It was important for us to have a restaurant in a beautiful place and a photographer to capture us in this beautiful moments. It was the most important in planning how to spend our budget. Everything else was quite easy because we wanted to prepare some decorations ourselves (vignettes, cones, rustical & boho additives).

How did you choose your photographer?
It was a tough decision. We went through many different photographers but Karol Nycz had a portfolio which amazed us and he just seemed to be a nice guy. It was very important for us to have natural photos which shows true emotions during ceremony & reception. We wanted to have a wedding session in Tatra mountains and it was a great decision to choose Karol because he is very well accustomed to mountains.

The dress
Dress has been sewn by meLove. Flowers and wreath were made by friendly florist from Chorzów (Justyna Kik).

The suit and bridesmaids
Suit has been sewn by Szyk Męski from Dąbrowa Górnicza.

Theme or colour scheme
Our theme was a mix of rustical and boho theme. We had a lot of wood and green flowers.

Flowers
We decided to concentrate on different green flowers and a lot of natural moss.

Decoration
Wooden vignettes, small cones, jars with candles.

Food
We’ve eaten standard polish dinner and after that we had candy bar full of sweets.

Wedding cake
Wedding cake was full of forest fruits.

Entertainment
To be honest.. only us and our guests. It was an intimate party because we wanted to spend this time with our family and close friends.

Personal touches
Yeah, we prepared wooden vignettes with our guests’ names and we brought the cones collected in the mountains.

Special moments
I think that for sure it is the amazing ceremony prepared by our friendly priest, short wedding session surrounded by storm and rain and the moment when we passed our flat’s door.

Advice for other couples
Plan it in your way. Don’t try to please everyone. It will be your day so plan it like you want.

Biggest surprise
Photo session in a storm and rain? And the branch falling to the ground few meters next to us. We were running, we were wet but crazy happy and joyful.

I’m a young, smiling guy from Krakow (you know – probably the prettiest city in Poland). Feelings are the most important in the stories I tell. It is always hard to categorize someone’s
style, but three words can help describe mine and would tell a little what I love in the pictures:
authenticity, warmth, feelings.
