Ask The Experts: Fantastic Flower Tips For Your Wedding
When it comes to weddings, the flowers have to be one of my favourite aspects....
This afternoon we are talking bridesmaids outfits with one of our favourite bridesmaids designers, Rewritten. We LOVE Rewritten here at Boho, we have featured them on a number of occasions, so always keen to invite them back onto the blog to tell us more about their new collections. This time they have really pushed the boat out with their amazing new designs as they have added new pant suits, all in ones and trouser separates to their beautiful collection. I just love the 70s feel to these designs, the wrap over detailing is super flattering, the new fabrics and the stunning jewel tones. You must check out this fabulous new collection, you really are going to love it.
Inspired by the oversized, billowing, silhouettes of the 1970’s, our new collection is an exciting celebration of vivid colour and fluid movement. With a heavy emphasis on the mix and match trend, flowing palazzo trousers are teamed with a kimono style wrap top; a beautifully cut bias skirt is worn with a delicate cross strap camisole. Bowed sashes and neck ties adorn our dramatic wide leg Soho jumpsuit whilst a provocative low back slip dress is barely seen under the long sleeve bias cut chiffon overlay of our Prague dress. We have introduced new fabric and colour combinations; jewel tones are brought to life in silk satin and best-selling styles such as our Mykonos, Vienna and Florence are re-imagined in luscious tones of Blackcurrant, Heather and Coral.
The flowing silhouettes of 70’s nightlife – think Bianca Jagger and Studio 54 – were a key inspiration when designing She Wears The Trousers, styles such as the Soho Jumpsuit, Kyoto top and Amalfi trousers are worthy of any 70’s club dancefloor.
We are Rewritten – we are friends and ex-work colleagues Katie Arnott and Frances Cookson and we created our brand in 2016 as we were frustrated by the choice of bridesmaid dresses out there when looking for ourselves. Frances’ background is fashion design and marketing and Katie is a retail guru so between us we created our launch collection which featured six styles in five colours – today we now have ten colours and over fifteen styles in the collection and we sell across the World with some of the most awesome stockists as well as online. Our dresses are designed for all of those awesome bridesmaids out there, they are chic, sophisticated and take an entirely modern approach to bridal wear. The entire collection is hand-designed in London by Frances where we create contemporary designs in the most beautiful fabric and colour combinations.
These are dresses that you want to wear again and again – they are beautifully cut, flattering and designed with detail and consideration – we like to call it sustainable bridesmaids dressing, no more unworn outfits gathering dust at the back of your wardrobe. Also we like to push the boundaries of bridesmaids dressing, we are constantly challenging the status quo – why not rock out a flowing palazzo trouser or jumpsuit on your best mates big day?
Also we are proud to make our pieces in London where we have a local workshop, a big focus for us is sustainability, we use offcuts of fabric for pocket squares and smaller garments, and we are striving to become even more sustainable in 2019 with a number of projects that will hopefully allow us to achieve this.
We are based in North London where we have a fabulous little plant-filled showroom, office and studio. We officially launched in November 16 so are just over two years old.
Our separates start at £75 for the Provence top and we go up to £250 for our Prague dress, but the majority of our dresses are between £140-£160.
The entire collection is available online at www.wearerewritten.com, via our North London showroom, with one of our 25 Global stockists or via our at home appointment service – Rewritten Room Service.
