Whether you are newly engaged or shifting up a gear with your wedding planning jobs, it is fair to say that the beginning of the year is a busy old time for wedding planning! If you are new to wedding planning you may not know where to start. If you are getting married this year you may be in a bit of a panic. DON’T stress though, as the National Wedding Show is here to help you with all your wedding planning needs!
‘Congratulations to all those newly engaged couples after the holiday season. We’re now looking forward to some of the exciting plans in the coming year and one of the biggest events in the wedding industry calendar is, of course, The National Wedding Show. For the first time ever it will be taking place in Newcastle along with the editions in London, Birmingham and Manchester so grab your nearest and dearest and get ready for the ultimate wedding planning day out.’
The National Wedding Show is the perfect place to start your planning with hundreds of wedding specialists under one roof. You’ll find a whole host of stunning venues including Askham Hall and Gretna Green, sumptuous cake designs, transport ideas and gorgeous styling.
The bridalwear brands are one of the main reasons not to miss the shows this season. You’ll have the opportunity to try on as many dresses as you like without making appointments in advance. Specialist bridalwear assistants will be on hand to help you find the perfect style, fit and colour. Top brands and boutiques joining them this season include Ivory & Co, David’s Bridal and Katya Katya.
If you’re not ready to try on dresses yourself then head to the catwalk for major wedding day style inspiration. They love to put on a good show with the latest bridalwear designs from designers such as Georgina Scott Bridal and Maggie Sottero. Not forgetting the grooms, with stylish suits modelled along with outfits for the mother of the bride and bridesmaids.
Be sure not to miss out on the free DIY classes in the Inspiration Lab. As the classes are free and space is limited these are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are always filled very quickly so check out the timetable before arriving to see what’s on. Previous workshops have included a gin masterclass, knicker decorating and calligraphy.
