Good afternoon everyone! We’re here this afternoon with a very cute book themed shoot to share with you, it was even shot at the local library. Dream team Tabby and Claire came up with this idea as a way to showcase their talents and also their passions! By including a real life couple too, this shoot is just full of lovely touches, quirky details and a fun, friendly vibe. I love it!
The idea for this collaborative shoot was to focus on details and it is the brainchild of wedding industry friends Tabby Kerwin of Mode for…Events Director and owner of Sweet Sugar Sixpence, Claire Bush.
Said Tabby: “It’s simple, we love books, we love cute and natural and we hate to be following the trends so Claire and I were well and truly on the same page. We wanted to simply create a set of beautiful images to show you can have what you love at your wedding and you don’t have to follow the trends.”
“Whilst we had ideas and small things that inspired us, like the bottle from Vinegar & Brown Paper, light from The White Bulb or my collection of leather bound music books, everything for this shoot just evolved from small items that inspired us. That’s how we think weddings should be. Unique, individual and bespoke.
“Every wedding professional that was part of our small and perfect team delivered their creative genius on the idea we set out and it just worked perfectly, from the stunning bridal bouquet from Sarah at Farm Styling to the dress which was designed for the shoot by Claire Paver Couture and set-off beautifully with a headpiece from the award winning The Bobby Pin.”
She continued: “We had the most fun couple who were best friends of one of my 2016 bride and grooms and they’re truly beautiful love for each and character shone through to make the images caught by the talented Nicola Mackrill perfect.
“As ever, Claire’s cakes were perfect, showing arrange of styles and skills that wowed us all (and they tasted great!). With a beautiful Suit from Owen Scott Tailors, make-up and hair styling from Carys Catherine Make-up and wonderful hand created stationery from Suzanne Oddy Design, this shoot was a joy to curate and style.”
“We always wanted the photos to focus on the detail of the work of our creative collaborators, plus show that any idea can give you a great style for a wedding and we definitely accomplished this.”
“We will always do shoots to focus on our work and things we love as opposed to just a shoot to be featured in a blog or magazine. It is about our love and passion for what we do and we want to inspire others with that.”

This is a really great idea, I especially love that it’s totally different from the popular trends. A library wedding would be an awesome venue any time of year too. Love the original thought put into this!
Thank you so much. We loved doing this shoot x
