Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week has started off well! Today I am delighted to welcome the lovely Lucy from Love In A Mist, Sheffield based wedding decorators and experts in creating and planning the perfect wedding decor for your special day. From classic vintage to boho glam, I’ll pass you over to Lucy to tell you all about her passion for styling!

I studied fashion and design at degree level, whilst studying I started making wedding stationery and i loved working alongside brides then slowly I became more involved with the design of the venue and progressed from there

What sort of geographical area do you cover?
Throughout the uk

How would you describe your style?
Classic, chic and stylish is the main style, however we offer all themes and loving the shabby chic style, rustic glam, 1920’s…

What makes you different to your competitors?
We use quality products, bridal fabrics…sheers, lace, chiffon, bespoke made items rather than wholesale products, we are concentrating on bespoke weddings so will be looking at only one wedding per day, creating mood boards, design and table demonstrations alongside the dressing on the day.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
The design process, I love a challenge of working on weddings that are different themes rather than our “trade mark” style. I have worked on contractual work in the past and I much prefer bespoke, working more closely with the customer to achieve a unique wedding to each individual rather than a package made for specific hotels. I love creating mood boards, it was the thing i loved the best whilst studying

What sort of couple do you think you attract?
My customers vary in style and vision, I love meeting different people and that makes my job so inspiring.

What would be your ideal wedding to work on?
I love working on authentic style weddings, barn weddings or rustic style venues…to see the transformation is so inspiring and uplifting

Can you give me some information on your pricing structure?
We have a minimum spend of £750 for a package. We have a minimum spend of £2500 for the day to be blocked off to have exclusivity.

What is your ideal way to spend a day off?
I love nature and kundalini yoga, I live in a converted barn with beautiful surroundings…A walk in the countryside, relaxing, yoga followed with cooking for my family and friends is perfect day off
