What a wedding I have for you today, as I take you off to the...
This afternoon we have a stunning new collection from Otaduy to share with you. Inspired by 70s glamour and style, the dresses feature classic lines, flattering two-pieces, wide leg jumpsuits and gorgeous embellishment. Teamed with fur and leather, these pieces are perfect for an urban wedding, retro affair or no-frills chic. Gorgeous!
Otaduy is a young, strong and growing company – we already have seven collections under our belt. All of the collections feature the free, ground-breaking brand spirit, although each one has its own personality, characteristics and sources of inspiration.
Our new ‘I Do’ collection is a very special one that is inspired by the endless parties of Studio 54 and New York in the seventies. Epitomised by Bianca Jagger riding onto the dance floor on horseback, a time of disco, glitter and mirror balls! Free spirited, laid back and fun the collection is also a tribute to David Bowie. Glamour and disco are two of the main sources of inspiration for the new Otaduy collection. The other is a series of women from different eras who we admire for their strength and creativity, ranging from Lena Dunham to Charlotte Brontë, including figures like Miranda July, Tamara de Lempicka and Frida Kahlo.
We are a new concept of bridal firm that is inspired by music, cinema and art, and specially designed for brides with personality, who really want to be themselves on their wedding day. Our dresses are all handmade with lots of love at our atelier in Barcelona using unique fabrics and beautiful, hand-made embroidery.
Otaduy are based in Barcelona and have been designing since 2011. The price point is between £1,500 and £3000. We have three shops; two in Spain and one in the United Kingdom, and a headquarters in Barcelona. We also have more than ten points of sale around the world (in addition to our own shops), all of them very carefully selected to fit with our brand spirit and ethos.
