As we draw to the latter part of the week, I am bringing you a fall inspired outdoor wedding from Utah. Christine and Lars were lucky enough to marry on the most beautiful piece of land owned by Lars’ parents. With this as their most beautiful backdrop, the rest of the wedding fell into place. Burnt oranges, deep greens and muted yellows makes this wedding a perfect autumn colour pallet and full of late summer charm. I just love the ceremony area and the relaxed feel to the day. Big thanks to Logan Walker Photography for the beautiful images.
Christine & Lars were married on 30th August at the Riverland, Woodland in Utah. ‘The Riverland is a property my father- in-law’s family acquired a few years ago. As soon as they purchased it, my husband’s aunts asked when we were going to have our wedding there– so it’s really them I have to thank for getting the ball rolling! The property features over 20 ponds and is located along the Upper Provo River – and is simply stunning! Although it rained pretty hard all afternoon and almost forced “plan B”, we were actually grateful for all the rain, as it kept everything really green and lush! Taking wedding pictures in my rain boots was definitely an unexpected and fun surprise! We had around 70 adults and 20 kids as guests.’
I really get wanted to get married in the Fall, so I was inspired by those colors and by the natural surroundings of the property. The foliage was so green that the yellow, orange & purples really popped!
We virtually customized everything about our wedding to make it reflect us and to make it as simple as possible! From writing the ceremony to the flow of the evening, to having about a dozen lawn games available for people to play, to the customized pint glasses, we definitely put our stamp on it! My gown & belt were from BHLDN. I wanted my look to reflect the location very outdoors & organic. Nature was my inspiration – no colors or themes per say. The wedding cake was decorated with fresh flowers and had our initials inscribed in a heart in the center. We wanted to keep everything simple and natural, so we kept décor to a minimum.
I loved how everything came together! and cried just before the “first look” and dancing with my dad but I tried to keep it together the rest of the time as much as possible! The ceremony was pretty emotional for us.
My advice would be to let things happen and to remind yourself that no matter the dress, the flowers or the food, at the end of the day, you and your bestie will be married and that’s what matters! Yay!
