Diary of a Boho Bride: Molly & Scott, Entry 7: The Finishing Touches

Good Morning and welcome to Friday. How are you all and have you managed OK with this crazy weather we have been getting? I really thought spring was well and truly here but this week I have dragged my hat a scarf out of hibernation! Here is hoping we get some sun over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Today we are back with our weekly feature A Diary of a Boho Bride and I am pleased to bring back Molly and Scott to the blog. Last time they were on the blog they chatted all about the Hen Party and today they are talking all about The Finishing Touches

I’ll pass you over to Molly and Scott….

So, it’s my second to last post and we’ve got one month to go! It’s come around so quickly! All the big jobs are out of the way, we’ve got a final guest list and virtually everyone has been laid. Now for the finishing touches!

I’ve been busy with my bridesmaids painting, cutting, sticking and building everything in sight to make the tipi look colourful! I’ve been having a worry lately that tipis are very brown and dark and we need lots of colour to brighten it up!

Luckily, everyone seems enthusiastic to help decorate jam jars and paint photo frames which was helpful when my patience was dwindling! We are now entering seriously exciting wedding territory where we only have tiny jobs to do and we can sit back, relax and enjoy the last month before the wedding.

That said, a top tip would be not to underestimate the burden of the tiny jobs! Finish music playlist, book Tinkerbell into the cattery, book tan and nail appointments, finish table plan etc…..

There is no doubt that wedding planning gets so much more exciting the closer you get. Something that I love is hearing my friends and family talk about their plans and their outfits for the day. Other people’s excitement about the day makes me really happy and actually less nervous!

Alongside the excitement, I’ve started to feel waves of extreme nervousness! Not even about the day going to plan really. I think I’m more concerned about everyone looking at me and that everyone has a good time!

As I type this I am realising that one month today is the big day and I’ll be waking up in London with my bridesmaids! Eeek! Anyone else have pre-wedding nerves?
