Diary of a Boho Bride – Kerry and Doug, Entry 5: Less than 100 days to go!

It’s Friday! How are you all? I hope you have had a great week and have some lovely plans for the weekend. I am attending a wedding food tasting day tomorrow and I am very much looking forward to photographing lots of food and sharing the wedding tasting experience with all our Boho Readers in the next few weeks.

Back with today’s Diary of a boho bride and today it’s the turn of Kerry and Doug. Last time they were on the blog they shared with us the wedding ring experience and today they are back talking about the wedding being less than 100 days away. Where has time gone?

Diary of a Boho Bride - Kerry and Doug, Entry 4: The Wedding Rings

I’ll pass you over to Kerry and Doug………

Hi Everybody. By the time you read this we will be in double digit days until the wedding eek! I have no idea where the time is going and I had a mini freak out a few weeks ago when I realised our guests  had no food, tables to eat at or chairs to sit on. Cue an emergency trip back to the parent’s and 4 days of appointments and spending money.

I managed to fit in a visit to a seamstress and a chance to see if my keep fit kick is helping me get closer to fitting into my dress. I took my mum and my older sister with me and I really enjoyed being able to start work on getting my dress to look like the picture I have in my head. While I was there my fears about it fitting into my dress if I don’t lose enough weight allayed as it turns out my dress could be taken out a bit if needs be, phew! Just hoping it doesn’t come to that though.

Another big thing that seems to be sorted is the Hen Doo, it’s looking like we are having a girls weekend away in Cornwall. I cannot wait to spend a weekend with some of my favourite people and am already mentally preparing myself for what surprises that may be in store. Unfortunately not all my best girls can make it so I am having a more low key night out in Manchester with the rest, lucky me!

I have been getting my crafty head on a bit and have been working away at the feather button holes for the bridal party. When we first started planning the wedding Doug decided that the traditional floral buttonhole was not really in keeping with the relaxed  feel of the day, so we had to come up with an alternative. I found feather boutonnieres which Doug loved but looking at the cost for at least 5 of the bridal party I set myself the task of making my own. I sourced a range of different types of feathers and with a bit of trial and error have made 10 that I am pretty happy with for the cost of 1 readymade one!

Finally the to do list is getting smaller and a lot of remaining jobs need to be completed in the week before the wedding, no pressure. I hope to be a lot less stressed next time I speak to you lovely people, until then.

Love Kerry and Doug xx
