Today I am taking you to Roundhay in Leeds for this rather rainy summer wedding...
Good Afternoon to you all and welcome to Friday! What a great week we have had on the blog this week. How are you all? I am very well and looking forward to the weekend, I have lots of lovely plans and I hope you all do too!
This week we are back with one of my favourite feature, Diary of a Boho Bride and I am happy to welcome Kerry and Doug back to the blog. Last time they chatted all about Crafting and this entry is all about the Invitations and Progress.
Hi Guys and Gals, I am glad to say we have made a bit more progress on our wedding plans since our last update!
After much nagging our wedding invites have been completed we just need to get them ordered and sent out next year. Doug has his own cartoon strip www.bandofone.co.uk that is based loosely on both of us and our pets and we wanted to use these characters to tell our story and inject some humour into our wedding invites. I came up with the ideas and Doug executed my vision into a postcard style invite with 8 panels of comic strip on them.
We chose to send out our save the dates via email and I have created a wedding website to give lot’s of information to our guests which keeps the invites as simple as possible.
Doug has also designed our wedding cake which my lovely sister will be making for us, we chose to have a woodland themed cake and have ordered some cute cake toppers from Etsy. We are having the Great Wedding Bake Off for our guests to encourage a bit of competition and have some yummy treats for our evening guests, I cannot wait to judge this any suggestions on the categories will be greatly appreciated!
We have booked our photo booth which I am megaley excited about. We saw the Silver Trailer Photo Booth www.bellestudio.co.uk at one of the weddings we went to in the summer and I love the vintage style and the fact that you can get multiple prints which we are planning to use as our guest book.
Other things that have been done are Bridesmaids shoes, hair sorted, bunting has been finished and supplies for making buttonholes and my veil have arrived, my sister has started to plan my hen do and we have decided on the flowers.
That’s all for now and will catch you up next month
