They  were married on 6^th August, and the ceremony took place at Hutton Rudby Church, North Yorkshire, they then moved onto Kim’s dad’s garden, in nearby Skutterskelfe with a marquee reception for their 130 guests, they were then joined by another 100 in the evening.
It goes without saying that Kimberly’s dress is outstanding, she had it personally made fo her and it really suites her, the styling with her hair and the flowers all go together so well, as do the bridemaids. I am loving the detailing in the marquee, the post box is amazing! as are the flowers that Kimberly did her self, and the cake with the bunting is super cute!

They describe their wedding as ‘Lots of fun and laughter and a wonderful celebration with amazing family and friends. Everything we could have wished for and more… A dream come true!’

How they met
We met in Newquay 5 years prior to our wedding day. We were actually introduced to each other by my brother Rusty, who worked with Zeff at the time. Rusty said straight away that he thought the two of us would get along and we hit it off straight away! We have been inseparable ever since!

The Proposal
Zeff had designed my ring and had had it made in advance. As my mum and dad and brother all worked or lived abroad at the time he had waited until they were all in the country to propose. We were heading out for dinner to our favourite local pub when he stopped the car in a scenic part of the moors called Osmotherley. He said to get out and under a nearby tree he got down on one knee and asked me.

The venue
I knew I wanted a church wedding in the village church where I grew up. Zeff’s best man’s father is a vicar and so we were lucky enough to have him perform the service, which made it very personal. My family have a walled garden which is full of childhood memories for me and the perfect location for a wedding so it all made sense.

The Dress
My dress was designed and made by James Steward.  I couldn’t have asked for more, it was beyond my wildest dreams. I just adore my dress so much!
My shoes were from Office and I wore my Mums pearls.

The suit and bridesmaids
A very talented friend, Heidi Sanderson, made all the bridesmaid dresses. She studied fashion and did a wonderful job of creating something very individual for my 3 gorgeous bridesmaids.

Theme
Our theme was very much country garden with no particular colour, just as much colour as possible!

Food
We enjoyed a selection of canapés, followed by delicious hog roast. My Auntie has an outside catering company (‘Chips & Things) and she did a wonderful job of organising all the food for the day. We had a chip van for the evening, which went down a treat!

Entertainment
We had a disco for the evening, which we had chosen much of the music for.

Flowers
I described to the lady doing the bouquets that I wanted it to look like we had picked them straight from the garden, and they were perfect! I did the flowers in the marquee, which I just bought from Tesco and re arranged into large jars.

Decoration
We had bunting, hired from Bunting Queen online, and flowers for the centre pieces. I had table centres made by a company called Betty & Mavis, The fabrics fit perfectly with my country garden theme and they have made a lovely keepsake for after the wedding.

Personal touches
We felt that the whole day reflected us both in many ways. The décor was our taste completely and worked really well. Also Zeff and I made the favours ourselves. We did homemade shortbread hearts using my Nanny’s recipe and we wrapped them in hessian with name tags. Also the date we got married was Nanny’s Birthday, which means a lot as we were extremely close.

Special moments
Zeff’s speech was definitely the highlight of the day. He brought pretty much everyone in the room to tears with his wonderful words. Also throwing the bouquet was brilliant and made great photos! I was thrilled that my bridesmaid Kirsty caught it too!

Planning Advice
I would say keep focused on exactly what you want and need. It’s easy to get carried away with unnecessary planning / stress.

Biggest surprise
The weather! It couldn’t have rained any more than it did! It didn’t matter to us though, we truly had the best day of our lives!

I am based in the north-east of the u.k but normally travel to where ever I’m needed, I would say my style is open and relaxed, I’m friendly and I love what I do, If I didn’t it would show in my work. I like to capture the small intimate moments that often make weddings so memorable but I never forget I’m there to meet the needs of the bride and groom, if their happy I’m happy.

Helen and Kenny told me a bit more about the wedding:
‘Tabitha Simmonds & Andrew Flynn were married on 24th July 2010 at The Hard Day’sNight Hotel Liverpool.  This was a really full on Beatles themed wedding, even taking their guests on a Magical Mystery Tour bus across the city!
They walked down the aisle to a an ‘all wedding guest sung’ version of ‘all you need is love’ which is quite a popular song to make an entrance to, but with all the quests singing put a completely different slant on it, it was fab, wish I’d thought of when we got married!’

I’d like to congratulate Tabitha and Andrew on what looks like a fun yet stylish wedding, I hope you have year’s of happiness together.

The wedding is that of Ben and Erin, Ben is British and Erin is American and the lovely couple were married in October 2009 at the Cator Woolford Gardens in Atlanta, Georgia. It was Naomi’s first destination wedding, so as you can imagine was extra happy with the results!

Naomi told me that Erin looked absolutely beautiful, her dress was simple and elegant and her flowers had such impact – a combination of all colours, with fresh sunflowers, roses and bright blue and purple iris. Erin’s make-up and hair were kept very natural and soft, which suited her delicate features and natural beauty perfectly.

The wedding day was just so beautiful – gorgeous weather in a stunning venue, an amazing outdoor ceremony with live music between the vows. There was a very relaxed and happy family vibe for the rest of the day and the evening party. The couple left late to head off for their honeymoon – a romantic cabin in the mountains.

Naomi says ”Ben and Erin arranged for me to go out to the US for just over a week for the shoot. I was included in all the wedding preparations such as the rehearsal dinner and bridal shower, which was a new experience for me, as here in the UK we do not have any of those wedding customs. I really enjoyed this preparation time – and found the sense of family togetherness, love and help for the couple really quite special.”

During the time leading up to the wedding, I spent a lot of time with their family and friends. I couldn’t believe how welcoming, kind and thoughtful they were towards me. They ensured I was looked after at all times and even took the time to arrange some fun adventures for me, such as a behind the scenes trip at CNN, a deep south BBQ, a deep south restaurant for gumbo and grits, an early morning hike up Stone Mountain and lots of visits to the biggest and most beautiful American houses I have only ever seen in movies!

During that time I made some fantastic American girlfriends and really became a part of the family, so no matter what the future holds for me in wedding photography, this shoot will always hold a special place in my heart.

I really love this wedding, the little details with favours, the wonderful colours in the flowers the relaxed atmosphere and the fact that everyone looks so happy.
