Real Weddings: time for something different – A Chinese wedding video

Today I have an extra treat for you, not one but two real weddings in one day!
When Shaun from Beautifull Life emailed me to ask if I wanted to post this rather gorgeous Chinese wedding Video, I said yes straight away!……how could I say no!!!
I love featuiring weddings from differnt cultures and this is my first Chinese wedding, so I am very excitted!!

Shaun tells us a bit more abiout the day itslef:
I Loved this day!! Chinese weddings are always so lively and fun and one of my favourite asian wedding videos I film. We headed north for the day and arrived at Blackpool’s Hilton Hotel at 7:00am ready to film Phil and Ling’s day. We started with Ling and her bridesmaids as they got ready and waited for the boys to arrive. Chinese weddings are great to film as the girls prepare games and challenges (known as “door games”) for the groom to prove before he is allowed access to his bride. It’s a great way of easing tensions and helping everyone to relax into the day. Chinese wedding games often include the groom reciting poems, answering questions about his new bride, singing love songs very loudly, eating spicy foods and paying money to the bridesmaids. Once the groom and groomsmen have completed their tasks then he can enter the room and collect his bride
The rest of the day took place in Manchester and included tea ceremonies, lion dancing, fire crackers and a 12 course wedding banquet at the Glamorous Chinese Restaurant in Manchester. Overall a fantastic day and here are the highlights of Ling and Phil’s Chinese Wedding Video.

Real Weddings: Autumn colours for a gorgeous Indian wedding

Today’s real wedding is brought to you by Jess Petrie It’s a gorgeous Indian wedding of Sharan & Jas who got married in the Autumn. It’s a 3 part shoot: 1 The Per-Wedding Shoot, 2 the Chunni/ Ceremony and 3 the reception. Personally I love the colours in the per wedding shoot the best the Autum leaves work really well with the other elements of the wedding photos. That and the detailed shots of her hands and the jewellery…..gorgeous!

Jess says about the shoot:
‘I love the colours in this shoot, Indian weddings are very renowned for their vibrancy and emotion, but the Autumn colours really helped to set the mood of this lovable couple. To be able to encapsulate this with my camera was a visual feast!
I feel honored when couples approach me to photograph their special day. I see this as whole heap of trust placed in my hands (which it literally is). I just give all I can to capture the best shots that are true, real and full of emotion for the happy couple to treasure for a life-time, and for generations to come.

Real Weddings: Sat and Amandeep (part 2) The Wedding

Earlier on today I posted part one the wedding of Sat and Amandeep Amandeep’s Pre Wedding Ceremonies

Well here is the wedding itself brought to you by Beautifull Life Video and Photography.
Shaun tells us: The day started at in Sutton Coldfield at around 4am with bridal preparations, This wedding went at a pace with some lovely ceremonies and lots of great dancing. The wedding took place at the Gurdwara Nishkam Sewah Jatha in Birmingham followed by the wedding reception at the Second City Suite.’

I’m sure you will agree this wedding is beautiful, and both Sat and Amandeep look totally stunning!

This week I bring you an amazing two part wedding from the great talent of Beautiful Life Video and Photography.I love showing you weddings with a difference and I also love showing your weddings from different religions. This week is a beautiful Sikh wedding, that of Sat and Amandeep.

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of bringing you the amazing wedding of Sudaf and Majid, it got some amazing feedback and since then I have built up a great relationship with it’s amazing photographer Rima Darwash

Real Weddings: A love of Colour and Detail

I simply love this wedding, the photos are amazing, the couple look so happy, the colours are stunning, the details in the outfits are beautiful. I’m really chuffed that I going to meet the photographer Rima Darwash in a couple of weeks.
I am also really chuffed that Rima has let me share this wedding with everyone…………The pitures really are a piece fo art!

This wedding is part 2 of 3. Part 1, Sudaf’s mehndi night, can be seen on Rima’s website with part 3 the civil ceremony to follow soon. Rima said about the shoot ‘I just loved the styling of this wedding, pretty pinks and punchy purples set the tone to this wedding perfectly. Sudaf looked positively radiant, very chilled and up for a bit of ‘fashionesque’ posing – my kinda bride!’
