Bright Teal & Rusty Orange Macramé Filled Bohemian Wedding Inspiration

For anyone looking to fill their wedding with bright Boho goodness, then today’s styled shoot is for you. I love a bit of colour in a wedding, teal is one of my favourite wedding colours, so I was delighted when I received this bright teal and rusty orange shoot. It is filled with the most amazing flowers, a Macramé backdrop of dreams, a cake that is just out of this world and some pretty Boho friendly decoration. The shoot took place in Rockledge in Florida last June and I know you are going to love it. Full marks to Liz Cowie Photography and her amazing team of wedding suppliers who worked so hard to put the shoot together.

Elizabeth from Liz Cowie Photography tells us more about the shoot

For our Boho in Bloom styled shoot, design inspiration came directly from the local charm of Rockledge Gardens and its hometown cozy vibes. A local vendor at the venue’s market, Set Adrift, creates beautiful macrame backdrops that I could not resist and the vision grew from there! I knew from the start by combining the soft macramé fabrics with other stand out pieces such as the vibrant rugs and wispy natural feathers, we could showcase an incredible statement piece and really make the macramé stand out among the beautiful greenery. With an overwhelming passion for mixing colours, textures, and patterns, Love Out Loud Events went to work creating a bright and boho themed shoot to inspire summer and fall brides and intrigue the imagination through this creative and unique setting. Each design piece was implemented to produce a colourful and vibrant set up to create the fun and eclectic vibes of summer, while still providing an intimate feeling of our own little secret garden.

Our goal was to implement a full design concept that was both eccentric and fun, with a bright teal and rusty orange palette highlighting the natural beauty of the garden and greenery of the venue’s outdoor space. We wanted the garden to be the main point of focus and let the already present beauty take the lead, almost stumbling upon a table set up within the garden as part of the allure. This incredible handmade farmhouse table with reclaimed wood when lowered and draped with handmade macramé runners provided the perfect backdrop to show case jewel toned glasses, gold chargers and paired mismatched vintage china with blush linen napkins from Mimosas and Moonshine. The addition of mismatched plating added a whimsical and alluring touch with a pop of luxury from the gold flatware and catches the eye just enough when peeking out of these pictures. When designing the table vision, I wanted to include the soft textures of pillows and match them with the natural fibers of macramé, so lowering the table and adding additional rugs and cozy pillows was something I wanted to showcase from the very beginning! Julie Miner Events created the awe-inspiring florals, from the centerpiece to the bouquet and truly nailed my vision with added feathers, wispy eucalyptus, Vendela and dusty pink roses and all complemented perfectly with terracotta orange Peruvian lilies.

Each element was chosen with intention. The orange and teal elements were accented with dusty pinks, deep reds and gold metals to show off an intimate yet natural surrounding while the delicate Wtoo lace gown from M and B Bridal provided the perfect amount of elegance, with a nude lining to complement the natural boho inspiration. Our beauty Madison modeled the dress exquisitely and was styled with textured braids and curls surrounded by a macramé headpiece by the talented Makeup by Maryuri who also provided the model’s makeup, gently highlighting her natural features. The bouquet, glass bottles, and background were all draped in the natural fibers of macramé and feather details continued throughout the shoot from accented stationary provided by Decoratifs to the cake! For dessert, we wanted a stand out cake and Dawn with Creative Cakes did not disappoint! The colour scheme was echoed perfectly, while macramé frosting adorned each layer. Along with our cake, The Seaside Succulent another local vendor, provided the sweetest little succulent favors, as well as adorned our cake table with a succulent piece mounted on driftwood.

What a dream this shoot was. When collaborating with talent like mentioned above, the vision translates into reality and creates an amazing spread of summer-inspired fun! We love a boho bride and this shoot truly captures the eclectic and artistic style of inspiration.
