Tusyan and George’s Fun and Fabulous Festival Wedding by Ikonworks Photography

Friday is here, yay for that! I am now off work for a week, which I’m very excited about. We are having our proper holiday in September, but Nik had some time to take off work so we decided to have a week at home, doing lots of day trips out and visiting friends and family. We have a whole week of fun planned (weather permitting) so I can’t wait to spend some quality time with my Nik and Dexter. Today I have THE most fun and fabulous wedding. Tusyan and George were married on the 16th of July 2016 at their family home in the New Forest, near the Beaulieu Estate, after a legal ceremony at Chelsea Registry Office on the 9th of July. They packed the day with brightly coloured decoration, a wonderful outdoor ceremony and the most amazing marquee reception, (check out those marquees) followed by a festival style knees up! A cracking wedding from start to finish, the perfect way to start the weekend!

More about the wedding from Tasha the photographer.

I am delighted to share the gloriously kitsch and glamorous festival theme wedding of George and Tusyan. The couple exchanged their wedding vows at Chelsea Registry office in January.  Six months ahead of a beautiful blessing shared with family and friends, at a family home in the New Forest.
On the day their joy and happiness was contagious! They exchanged beautifully written personal vows and incorporated a sand ceremony, symbolising the importance of family and friends to the couple.  This perfectly celebrated the joining of the two families. The ceremony was officiated by the wonderful Hilary Channing.

The ceremony took place in a secluded part of the garden, sheltered by the lovely New Forest cottage.  Lanterns lined the aisle, and the ceremony table was decorated with pretty floral arrangements.  The trees behind covered with colourful ribbons and crepe pompoms.
Following the ceremony was a party planned to absolute perfection. After over a decade together G&T knew exactly what they wanted.  Expressing their impeccable style, and their love of music and festivals flawlessly.

The reception took place in an incredible marquee from the Arabian Tent Company.  The guests were treated to fabulous catering from Kaboola. Brilliant speeches from family members, led into a beautiful song from George.  The reception could not have started more perfectly.  G&T found Latvian musicians “Da Gamba” at Glastonbury, flying them over to perform a brilliant set.  Their cover of the theme from Game of Thrones is brilliant. Then followed the brilliant Electro Swing Circus.

The guests moved to Shangrilawless, a party tent and dance floor in a wood clearing not far from the house. George took to the stage for a set, followed by a set from the international DJ Ben Bridgewater.  The pizza arrived, the photobooth opened and the fires were lit.  With the enormous glitterball hanging from the trees, the evening celebrations continued well into the night.
Ensuring the party could go on, and on, accommodation was available onsite for guests.  Baylilly set up a festival village of colourful bell tents, lining a latern lit walkway.

A wedding I will never forget, for two of the most wonderful people I have been able to work for.  I hope you enjoy the images, from this beautiful wedding.
