Now we are in April and the clocks went forward at the weekend, I think...

Good afternoon everyone – are you ready for the weekend?! I know I am. I’m visiting family to celebrate my Grandma’s Birthday, and will be taking the opportunity to sit, eat and try not to think about work too much! To ease us in gently I have a very sweet wedding film to share with you from Blue Sage Films. Kirsty and Lewis had a festival style wedding complete with tipi tents and partying until the early hours! Grab a brew and take 5 mins to soak up this gorgeous film.
When Lewis and I got engaged last February, we didn’t immediately plan to get married just six months later but we were so excited that we just didn’t want to wait any longer. We had a few initial chats about various locations – the Caribbean (where we got engaged), Canada (where I was born) and even Spain (mainly because we saw this awesome place where you can rent a whole town). But once we thought about the things we love – our family and friends, good music, festivals, camping, street food and a good drink – we quickly settled on a festival-style wedding in the Kent countryside. By late Feb we had booked our venue. It was the second one we saw and it took a lot of imagination to see how it would look in August compared to a very cold and wet afternoon in February! Not having much time to plan was actually really helpful. We didn’t spend too long overthinking any decisions and mainly just went with our gut. We were lucky to find and work with lots of great suppliers who really helped create the perfect day… and my mum was incredible at sourcing various props and decorations on eBay! Everyone always tells you that your wedding will be the best day of your life; turns out they’re right. From getting ready with my mum and lovely bridesmaids to eating leftover cake with the last ones standing at 4am, the day was filled with all of our favourite things from start to finish. To be honest, we basically wanted a big party; a laid back, fun-filled day without any of the boring bits you can often get at the wedding. We didn’t want that midnight cutoff where nobody is quite ready to go home so it was amazing that so many of our guests camped with us. Waking up, hungover but happy, hearing everyone’s stories from the day before over a delicious fry up was one of our favourite parts. We’ve had so many lovely comments from our friends and family and we’re just so happy that everyone enjoyed it as much as we did.
I Love this film! The colors, the organic hand held feel when needed, cant say i love the music but that’s just a personal preference. The videographer seems to really know what they were doing and what they were looking for while shooting. All n all, This is a film I would be happy to get, and happy if I created :) awesome job!
