Today we are heading across to California for this gorgeous ranch wedding by Hannah Kate Photography. Sydney and Graham were married on the 28th May 2016 at Thousand Hills Ranch and even though they chose a typical ranch wedding venue, their wedding was anything but typical of what a ranch wedding normally is. With a glam jewel toned theme, they moved away from the rustic and embraced the glam. With beautiful table decorations, amazing blooms and an incredibly beautiful bride, this wedding just shows that thinking outside of the box really pays and the results can be stunning.
Sydney & Graham got married at a working cattle ranch doubling as a wedding venue on the weekends; the venue is tucked away from the hustle & bustle of downtown Pismo Beach and is located right behind the rolling hills in a very private & secluded valley. Even though these two got married at a ranch, they wanted their wedding to be anything but “a barn wedding”. They approached the space with fresh eyes and new ideas. They brought in a jewel-toned color palette, romantic florals, brass accents, Moroccan details & even Mediterranean food! Nothing about their vision seemed “rustic chic”, which just goes to show how you don’t have to a typical rustic wedding just because your wedding is at a ranch. Each wedding should be just as unique as each couple, and Sydney & Graham’s day definitely as excellent example of that. Some DIY elements to Sydney & Graham’s wedding are the florals, all done by Sydney & her girls, as well as the succulents were home grown in Sydney’s garden as well as the limestone “escort cards” which were handpicked on hikes by the couple for their guests.
