Tatum and Youssef’s Elegant Garden Party Wedding in Marrakech by Danielle Victoria Photography

We are back today with the most stunning real wedding, courtesy of Danielle Victoria Photography. Tatum and Youssef decided on a destination wedding in the center of Morocco. This magical Wedding in Marrakech is a real beauty. Set against the gardens of the La Mamounia Hotel, it is a day full of elegance and beauty as well as a great mix of Moroccan glam and traditional Moroccan entertainment. I just love Tatum’s Laure de Sagazan gown, the Coast separates that the bridesmaids are wearing and Youssef’s very dashing style. A truly wonderful wedding that I know you will love.

An utterly magical and surreal celebration of love with our closest family and friends. An unforgettable day filled with non-stop laughter and happiness.

Tatum and Youssef were married on the 16 July 2016 at La Mamounia Hotel Gardens, Marrakech, Morocco. ‘We wanted to get married somewhere hot and sunny – and that it definitely was!! The hotel itself held special memories for the bride’s father, who had stayed there with his family 30 years ago. We had 130 guests and the wedding took 6 months to plan’.

How they met
We met working together in a bank and have been together for 2 years.

How did you allocate your budget?
We splurged on dress / suit and entertainment, and saved by opting out of extras we felt were unnecessary (like designer shoes…although I was tempted).

Why did you choose your photographer?
Our amazing photographer Danni was recommended to us by good friends, and after looking through her portfolio we knew she was perfect – we particularly loved her candid shots and informal approach to capturing the moment

The Dress
My dress was from Laure de Sagazan (bought at The Mews Bridal, Notting Hill) and shoes from No.1 by Jenny Packham. I wore vintage earrings lent by Mother of the Bride, headpiece from Ritva Westenius, rings by Reema Pachachi at Kuka-Me.

The Suit and Bridesmaids
The suit was tailor made and worn with a bow tie from Mrs Bow Tie. The bridesmaids wore dresses from Coast.

Theme or Colour Scheme
Our wedding had a relaxed but elegant garden party vibe but no colour scheme.

Flowers
Whatever we could get on that were a) available in Marrakech and b) could withstand the 40 degree heat!

Decoration
The gardens were so beautiful we didn’t need much, and went for simple floral decorations

Food
Traditional Moroccan food – pigeon pastilla to start, veal, and then a refreshing berry soup

Wedding Cake
Two flavours – lemon, ginger and date, plus a rich chocolate cake

Entertainment
We had a live traditional Andalusian band, DJ, Egyptian dancers and drummers (Zaffa)

Stationery
We got our stationery from Vistaprint – highly recommend!

Personal Touches and Special Moments
Everything sped past in a magical blur, but a couple of highlights were our first dances – we secretly choreographed a dance to Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud and then half an hour later surprised everyone again with Egyptian zaffa dancers and drummers, which everyone seemed to love!

Advice for other couples
Write your vows and speeches well in advance of the day so you aren’t stressing about them in the week leading up to it – just get them done!! Then just relax and go with the flow, enjoy and savour every moment – it doesn’t matter if things go wrong!

Biggest Surprise
How nervous I felt the whole day (the ceremony didn’t start until 6) and then how instantly relaxed and happy I felt as soon as I started walking down the aisle and saw Youssef
