Diary of a Boho Bride – Kerry and Doug, Entry 8: The Final Post – 1 Week To Go!

Good Afternoon to you all and welcome to this weeks Boho Brides feature.  This week we are saying goodbye to another of our lovely brides and this week it is Kerry’s final post for the blog.  Kerry and Doug will be tying the knot on the 4th June and we cannot wait to hear about it and see all the lovely images from their wedding day.  Good Luck Kerry and Doug!  The 4th June will be amazing for you both!

Hi Guys and Gals
It’s really scary that it’s just over a week until the wedding, eek!  As you read this we both will have finished work for 2 weeks and on our way back to my parents to help out with the multitude of jobs still to do. Being the ultimate control freak the idea that so much has still to be done is weighing heavy on me, I am frantically trying to keep Bridezilla Kerry in. I can’t make any promises it will stay that way though!

In my last blog I mentioned that I would be sharing our Ring Making Workshop story and my second hen do. We were really looking forward to going to make our own rings, especially as we are having ‘the ring warming as part of our blessing, and the thought of so much love going into them was special. Unfortunately the day before we were due to go I had an email from the lady running the course was ill and that she could find a free Saturday in June instead! Cue mild panic as 3 weeks before the wedding we were without anything to exchange on the day. Luckily we were able to take a trip into Manchester and the good ole high street saved the day. We have actually both gone for something completely different that what we had intended to make, so it feels like fate had a hand in, I am really happy that we weren’t able to go in the end.

I had intended going out with some of my girlies who were unable to make Cornwall and having a night on the town, what transpired actually turned out to be much more fun and relaxing. We had a beauty therapist come round to give us facials and massages, had party food buffet and cocktails, then decided to play cards against humanity once we were all a bit merry! It was really fun and just what I needed after my last full late week at work.

Doug has also had his stag do in Brum which involved off road rallying, a comedy club and being dressed as He Man all evening. He was absolutely steaming from what I heard but somehow (and if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes wouldn’t have believed it) ended up hangover free! He had an amazing time and we are both so looking forward to see all the lovely people again at our wedding.

Nothing more to report folks, it feels weird signing off my last blog knowing that I have a week until we become Mr and Mrs Wilson! Please hope for sunshine on June the 4th and good luck for you own special days :)
