Paul from norma&dorothy tells us more about the compnay and the sale……

‘We’re a wedding stationery company with a rustic / whimsical aesthetic. My business partner Grace started the business 2 years ago (she’s now the creative director and designs everything!) and we now have a small team. All of our stationery is hand-made in our studio in Manchester, and a massive focus of our company is quality hand-made products. We have a making team and each person has studied some form of craft at degree level, so they’re pretty skilled with their hands!’

How we started
Grace has been designing pretty things since the tender age of 10, spending hours designing shop fronts in her pastel pink notebook. After studying art and fashion Grace went on to become a fashion designer for high end brands before the opportunity to create wedding invites for a family friend cropped up. The small side project reminded Grace of her childhood passion for working with paper and hand-crafted products, and it wasn’t long until other friends wanted Grace to design their wedding invitations, leading to the creation of norma&dorothy.

What motivates us 
Our customers place a great deal of trust in our brand; their wedding day is the most important day of their lives and every detail needs to be perfect. This trust inspires us to finish each order to the best of our ability. We choose the highest quality paper stock we can find, print our products using industry-leading printing presses and hand-finish each order in house. Every stage of our making process, whether it’s choosing the right glue or hand-tying the perfect knot, has been carefully planned and improved with the years of crafting experience behind us.

Hand-finishing a customer’s order is at the heart of our company, and we pride ourselves on the ability to create something beautiful by hand. Each member of our making team has spent years studying a craft to degree level, whether its textile crafts, embroidery or paper making, our team know how to perfect a hand-finished product.
