Well Hello Friday and how are you? I have certainly got that Friday feeling and I hope you have aswell. Today is a slightly odd day forme as I am at work, I am normally with Dexter on a Friday but I’ve swapped my days over a I have a BIG wedding to go to tomorrow. Nik’s brother is finally tiying the knot with his long-standing fiance Alison. It’s going to be a big Sheffield bash at Kelham Island, and both Nik and I are super excited about it! I haven’t been to a wedding as a guest for ages now so it will be wonderful to get swept up in the emotion of the day
But before that happens I have this wonderful wedding for you from Utah courtesy of Logan Walker Photography. The wedding took place in a small canyon that on the day was full of mist that led to some amazing photos, an outdoor ceremony with lots of personal touches, a gorgeous cake, beautiful flowers, a photo booth and the most beautiful first look. Happy Friday people, enjoy!
Lyric and Lincoln were married on 13th September at Millcreek Inn, Utah. ‘Millcreek Inn is a beautiful location located in a small canyon. We decided on this venue for several reasons! Since I was trying to plan a wedding out of state, we were looking for a venue that would take care of as many details as possible and this was Millcreek! They have a naturally beautiful venue that needs very little decor to make it shine for your special day! They also are known for their amazing food and believe me and all my guests, it was AMAZING. In addition to the beautiful venue and food, they also provided the linens, cake cutting, drinks, set-up and clean-up. All in all having our wedding at Millcreek Inn made our wedding planning very smooth.
We decided it would be best to do a first look before the ceremony. While it is always a girls dream to be seen by the groom for the first time walking down the aisle, it just isn’t practical. Having first look photos allowed us to capture an extremely intimate moment on camera. It was also great to have ALOT of extra time to take all the photos of the day that we wanted. We also got to spend more of our wedding day together and honestly what could be better than that. 80 guests attended our wedding’

Personal or Handmade Touches
Lincoln and I both wanted our wedding to be timeless yet modern. I know they sound like oxymorons, but I think we were able to pull it off. For example, we went for a very modern look on our centrepieces which included lots of different vases of different shapes, but stuck to a very timeless set of white flowers. A lot of our decor was handmade by me and my bridal party. We spent lots of time looking for just the right pieces that would make our wedding perfect. We also opted to make a photo booth which ended up being a hit.
Special Moments
The amazing toasts given by our closest family and friends and of course the DANCING. If I had to choose, it would be walking down the aisle looking at the man I am going to spend the rest of my life with
Advice to other couples
Plan your transitions! This was a time of stress for everyone. Delegate who is going to carry what and who is in charge of driving certain cars ext. Trying to figure all of this out in a matter of minutes to stay on schedule is stressful but avoidable if you take the time to plan it out
