Happy Friday already, I hope you are all well and enjoying the lovely sunshine we are having today, lets hope it is here to stay for this weekends weddings! We have had a great week on the blog and to finish the week we are back with our regular feature Diary of a Boho Bride. Last time Emily and Jonny were on the blog they chatted all about their completed invitations and today they are back talking all about their engagement shoot
So not long to go at all now! The 12 week bikini diet has started and between chocolate fix times, it seems to be going ok.
We’ve had a few months of final planning. We made our final arrangements with the florist, our photographer and the venue, as well as agreeing our food and order of ceremony.
One highlight of the last month was having our engagement shoot with our photographer Charlotte Wise from Soul Images. I was slightly nervous about having a pre shoot. However, we both loved it. Charlotte was amazing and totally put us at ease. She met Jonny and I at Hardcastle Craggs National Trust on a sunny Monday afternoon and directed us into position to get some beautiful photos which are so much nicer than the usual selfies! We climbed trees, went over stepping stones and even got a rowing boat.
I think the best ones are the most natural. Charlotte just knew what we were looking for in our photos and directed us on what to do. In the end we had such a laugh that time just flew by. I’m really looking forward to having her there on our wedding day to capture the special moments.
On the morning of the photo shoot I managed to squeeze in my hair trials. Yes, with the wedding rapidly approaching now, I have to maximise my days. I have booked a hairstylist called Allison Halsworth. She arrived at my Mum and Dad’s house with a boot full of equipment. She did not travel light and what she brought was amazing. It was a full mobile salon with a light up mirror and stand. It put my Dad’s tool box to shame! I showed Allison a few styles I wanted to try and had my extensions and head piece ready to incorporate. I can only describe it as magic what she did. It didn’t take her long at all to style my hair exactly like the photo I showed her. I tried a few styles; each one Allison photographed in detail in preparation for the day as well as putting together a full itinerary for the morning of the wedding. How exciting!
I can’t wait now for the day of the wedding. I think it will only feel real when I’ve got my dress and shoes on, my hair and make-up is all done and I’m holding my dad and my bouquet.
I feel so lucky to have met such lovely people while wedding planning. All the people I have been in contact with have been so welcoming and helpful. It has made planning our wedding less stressful and really enjoyable.
When I next speak to you, I’ll be getting nervous. We have a busy couple of months ahead and I think they are just going to fly by. Then we’ll be married!
Great Photos ! thx for sharing ! the couple looks lovely :)
