Entry 29 of my Photography diary and this is a very special post for me as it is the first set of photos of my new born baby. I gave birth to my baby boy on 19th June, Dexter Theo Hood was born at 6.56am weighing in at a healthy 8lb 2oz.
I picked up a DSLR camera about a year and half ago with the sole purpose of being able to take a decent photo once I was lucky enough to have my own baby. Since Dexter has been born, both Nik and I have got a whole lot of use out of the camera and have enjoyed capturing his first few days and savoring each moment we have with him. I have to admit that the first photos taken in the hospital were taken by Nik, the other ones at home were taken by me.
There will be many, many more photos of this little man to come I’m sure, but for now here are our first 2 weeks with him.
These photos were taken with my 50mm 1.4 lens and edited using my own variation of Fugi Superia 100+
Dexter is just adorable – you must be very proud. What beautiful photos!
Wonderful images, I must say! Dexter is very cute. And the capture is amazing! 50mm 1.4-lens camera does have great capability to capture wonderful photos!
