Entry 27 of my Photography diary and this time we are off to Matlock for the day. On April 5th I met up with 3 of my University friends and their children for a day out in Matlock. We have all been friends now for 23 years but as we all live across the UK we don’t get to see as much of each other as we would like. Sarah is the one I see the most as she loves in Matlock, Alex lives in Huddersfield and Clare lies in Surry.
On this particular weekend Clare had arranged to come and stay with Sarah for the weekend, so Alex and I popped across to Matlock for the day to spend some time with them. We had a lovely day which included a trip to Matlock baths, steam trains, a walk in the park and a fish and chip supper. I took my camera along and got some pictures of us and the children. I was 29 weeks pregnant at the time, strange seeing my baby bump in these pictures it looks so small!
I took along my Canon 5D and my 85 mm lens, which I hadn’t really had a good play with before this, so it was good to get to grips with it. I edited the photos using VSCO with Fuji superia 400- as my basis, but I played around a lot with the exposure, blacks and shadows, sharpness and the contrast.
Beautiful photos, so clear and crisp and lovely subjects. What camera did you use?
