Entry 20 of my Photography Diary and these are photos of a lovely day spent with good friends in my home town of Sheffield. Sheffield holds its own festival every summer, called the Tramlines Festival, it literally takes over the whole city. Last year Nik and I went out in the afternoon and raved it up till the early hours. Forward on a year and all our friends have children, so we decided that a picnic in the park was going to be a better option. Our friends, Karl and Linda, Paul and Claire and Matt and Alison joined us at Endcliffe park with their babies (and Dolly the dog) and we had a lovely afternoon together. I really loved taking these photos, I think family photography is definitely my favorite thing to do, babies and children are so easy to photograph and make such great models. And what I really enjoy is being able to share these photos with their parents, everyone loves to see photos of their babies right!?!
The photos were taken on a slightly overcast day but there was plenty of natural light, I used my 50mm and my 28mm, I edited them a bit in lightroom, but didn’t do too much to them as I wanted to keep the processing natural.
Really fantastic work Kelly! Your composition has really come a long way! I love the expressions you have captured. :)
