Today I am whisking you off to Berkeley in California for the Woodland Wedding of Nira and Eoin who were married on 2nd September. This wedding actually took place at a summer camp in California. A lot of summer camps rent out their properties to weddings in the off-season, which is apparently becoming a bit of a trend! The wedding is full of woodland wonder, and is complete with outdoor ceremony and lots of rustic details, as well as some pretty serious partying! Thanks so much to Carrie Richards for the lovely submission.
The Lair of the Golden Bear has a special place in my heart. When Nira & Eoin contacted me about shooting their wedding there, I was really excited. Not only because its the place where I met my husband (also the caterer – Daniel Prelip!)…but they were getting married at my favourite location in the camp – Vista Lodge. With its beautiful pine trees, granite boulders and mountain views it was a gorgeous location with endless photography opportunities. This sweet couple lives in South Lake Tahoe so getting married outdoors was a must! I enjoyed every part of this mountain wedding & if you look at the dance photos – looks like they did too!!
This outdoorsy couple were really fun and easy-going, and I felt that it really shows in their photos! There aren’t many vendors involved in this wedding because of its remote destination, and the beauty of the venue itself was enough to make this a unique wedding.

What an amazing forest setting!
There was something very “camping” about this wedding. What a great, relaxing time!
