I am spoiling you this week as I have another amazing wedding for you today thanks to the super talented and super nice guy Mark Tattersall. I had the pleasure of working with Mark on a wedding last year and he was great to work with, I would recommend him to any bride and groom. This wedding is another belter and is full of country charm, as well as Yorkshire goodness. The couple wanted to incorporate aspects of Yorkshire into their day as well as mixing lots of personal touches, and they did this in bucket loads. From the Hay Bales (you know how much I love a hay bale) to the tweed suit, the beer, the tractor ride and the village hall reception venue, this wedding is bursting with amazing details and lots and lots of love!
Hannah and Martyn have made a home in the idyllically quaint village of Arncliffe near Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales. The great community spirit of the village was at the heart of their wedding. Married at the parish church followed by a walk to the village pub then on to the village hall for their guests whilst they travelled on a neighbours tractor. The only thing that could have made this more ‘Yorkshire dales’ would be a brass band…oh wait, Skipton Brass Band provided entertainment on the village green! All this within a stones throw of their home. You must see the first dance pictures at the end. Just brilliant.
The country feel to the wedding was expressed through tweed suits and feather/floral button holes making the colours of the weddings harmonise with it’s surroundings perfectly.
Martyn looking very much the country gent and his ‘best woman’ – he had a female best man. Transport for the day! I love the DIY trailer which was beautifully decorated.
Of course it had to be a locally brewed bottle of beer to celebrate.
Skipton Brass Band was an inspired choice as entertainment and they did a fantastic job as historic tones rang through the village green and the valley beyond.
