Barbara and Wilko’s Cliff Top Wedding in Sardinia – A Wedding Film By Reel Love Films

I haven’t featured a wedding film on the blog for a while, so when the hugely talented Frances from Reel Love Films sent me in this beautiful film that she shot in Sardina, I jumped at the chance to have a bit of cinematic  pretty on the Blog.

The film features the most amazing wedding of Barbara and Wilko who were married on 6th October at Capo Spartivento Lighthouse in Sardinia. The wedding is full of smiles, cheer, amazing views and THE most stunning location, the setting is breathtaking! Who wouldn’t want to get married on a cliff top, in the sunshine, overlooking the sea? it’s just amazing! and has left me longing for a summer holiday NOW!
Frances has done a superb job of capturing the day, her style of film making is a personal favourite of mine and I am a huge fan of her work!

Frances says about the day………….

Wow….what a wedding! This is the second wedding we did with Eva from Chic Weddings and it was a corker!! Barbara and Wilco are from Holland and came to Sardinia to get married as Barbara’s Swiss Dad now lives in Cagliari. They chose the truly breath taking venue of Capo Spartivento, which is a 150 year old lighthouse, perched on the cliffs on the South side of Sardinia. It has been converted into a luxury hotel and private venue, complete with infinity pool where you can gaze out to sea; and the chef happens to be Dolce and Gabana’s old private chef…so the food wasn’t bad either!
It’s quite difficult to convey the atmosphere of the place in writing, but it really is incredible and very unique. I think I might go and get married there myself one day…!

Barbara and Wilco are a very gentle couple, so very much in love and very laid back and relaxed…perfect. They chose to have an humanist ceremony conducted by the lovely Blessings from Italy, which took place on the cliffs overlooking the sea.
They then all retreated to canapaes overlooking the pool and the sea, while the sun gave off the most glorious golden light before setting over the sea…dreamy doesn’t really do it justice. As alway Eva was a delight to work with and kept the day running smoothly, but in her wonderful laid back, relaxed way. All the details and hints of Morocco set the venue off perfectly. They had Sara Letschart photograph their wedding, who travelled from Holland. She was brilliant, and a lovely, gentle lady full of laughter…hope we meet again.

Barbara and Wilco were a joy to film, they were funny, friendly and happy, as were their lovely family and friends. Thank you so much for having us over there to film your wedding, it was incredibly special xx
