Boho Pins: Naked Cakes

boho pins Welcome along to another edition of Boho Pins, where I delve into my pinterest board collection and choose one to share with you. If you’re planning a wedding then pinterest is the perfect visual planning tool. Fantastic for putting ideas together and keeping all your ideas organised! You can find me here pinterest.com/bohoweddings and I update my boards on a daily basis!

Be warned as todays Boho Pins may make you hungry! If you are a lover of cake, you are going to LOVE my choice of board today, as todays post is all about Naked Cakes. A Naked Cake in case you didn’t know is a cake that basically doesn’t have any icing or any covering on it. The naked Cake has been gaining in popularity over the last few years and now they are all over the place.  Very popular with the more rustic DIY wedding, the naked cake means that anyone with a bit of baking skill can put together an attractive looking cake without worrying about the dreaded icing!  (but be warned it takes a professional to make sure the towered cake doesn’t collapse!) You can decorate your cake in whatever manner you like and with whatever you like, as well as adding another dimension by changing up the sponge colour. Personally I love them and if I was to get married again I’m sure I would be choosing one of these beauties as my wedding cake! (You can see my full Naked Cakes pinterest board HERE)
