Bridal Style: BHLDN’s 2013 Spring Collection

BHLDN’s 2013 Spring Collection

This weeks chosen supplier to share with you all is BHLDN, who I just adore! Their bridal fashions are incredible, soft, romantic, perfect for any vintage or Boho inspired bride. With dresses full of lace, layers and sparkle, full length,  mid length and knee length there really is something for any style! Although they are based in the US they ship worldwide and if I were to get married again I would certainly consider purchasing a dress from them!

Today I have some of the highlights from BHLDN’s 2013 Spring Collection and it’s just beautiful! I have my favourites and I’m sure you will find more than a few that you love as well.

I’ll pass the Blog over to Kelly from BHLDN to talk you through a few pieces from the collection………..

BHLDN is particularly strong in the bridal accessories department. There’s something about these pieces that always feels as if you’ve gotten your hands on something precious that’s been handed down for generations through an exceptionally stylish branch of the family. These bridal earrings are perfect examples. The subtle use of color and the clever material combinations keep things fresh and interesting without losing an ounce of that retro vibe. We’ve especially fallen in love with the sweet seed pearl chandeliers.

Brides have been flocking to BHLDN ever since the brand opened their doors. This facet of the collection seems especially calculated to call out to all those free spirits. Heart-stoppingly romantic without being a bit fussy, their bridal headpieces range from simple combs to decadent tiaras. Enamelled flowers are a real theme for Spring 2013. Here are a few favorites.

Second “reception” dresses for brides are becoming more popular than ever. Why stick to one gorgeous dress when you could have two? Also popular as ceremony dresses for the more off-beat bride, this Spring Collection promises much more of what BHLDN already does so well: Unique styling. Luxurious embellishment. Vintage glam. We’ve picked two from the collection to share with you here. There’s so much wearability in these dresses—we can see them living long happy social lives as party frocks for years after the main event.

And so to the gowns. BHLDN have outdone themselves with designer collaborations this season, and the results are breathtaking.

This Tracy Reece dress is telling a whole different kind of fairytale. There is something about that old-world lace, the sheer layering of gauzy white and the softest fresh blush for a strawberries-and-cream effect. Playful, feminine, and bohemian right to its hem, this is a very special dress.

That luscious blush shade shows up again in this beautifully embellished Rachel Gilbert creation. The Australian designer has outdone herself here with a soft sweeping gauze gown studded with crystals. The strapless dress has a sweet, romantic ease of movement brilliantly combined with a slight rock-and-roll edge. The end result is irresistible.

Indian designer Rana Gill has managed to bring BHLDN a dress dripping with the classic elegance of days gone by (but in the freshest possible incarnation)! The clean lines, bright white fabric, and mouthwatering silver embroidery of this gown are to die for.

It’s possible that we’ve saved the best for last. Badgley Mischka has designed a BHLDN exclusive which stopped us in our tracks. This incredible shimmering sheath wedding dress could proudly have taken its place on any red carpet since the Golden Age of Hollywood and is the perfect choice for the bride who knows how to turn heads.
