Happy Saturday everyone and welcome to the weekend, I hope you are having a good one so far and have some fun things planned. I’ve been in Cornwall since Wednesday with Nik, staying at my mum’s house, so far a lot of food and alcohol have been consumed, I swear I am going on a diet when I get home!…honest!!
Onto todays Saturday Cinema, and todays featured presentation has been brought to you by Aaron Jones from Reel Weddings. It’s the wedding of Audrey and Simba who were married on 3rd September 2011, the ceremony was held at St Andrews Methodist Church with the reception at Davenport Green Hall. It’s a lovely wedding, and you can tell how completely head over heals Simba is for Audrey….and oh what a speech! Just gorgeous!
Aaron says ‘With most Zimbabwean weddings you can expect a great deal of colour, bling, dancing and singing. Audrey and Simba had this, but wanted their guests to enjoy their more youthful sides as well. So they had a big bouncy castle, cup and saucer rides and other entertainment.’

I asked Aaron what his favourite part of the wedding was ‘I’d say it was the moment before their first kiss as husband and wife. After the vicar said they may now kiss, Simba paused, removed his jacket, flexed his muscles a little and went in for it. It’s not something which you see everyday in a church
Why do you think a couple should hire a film maker for their wedding ‘Production values of the wedding film industry has changed massively over the past few years. Cheese is out. Awesomeness is in. There is no equal in feeling as emotionally connected to your own wedding when you are able to hear your vows repeated on screen’
What do you think make a good wedding video ‘Great storytelling is an essential element for us. You want to draw the couple into feeling the same emotions as they did on their wedding day.’

I love this track, it works so well with the vibe of the day. The couple have such infectious smiles I found myself smiling from beginning to end x
It looks like they all had lots of fun. Brings the inner child out of everyone.
