Lucy and Jamie’s Stunning Oman Beach Wedding

I’m taking you around the world this week with the gorgeous weddings I have to share with you. Yesterday Hawaii and today the the wedding comes all the way from Oman. It was sent into me my Emilie White, who’s work I just love and have featured on the Blog a few times before.  It’s the most beautiful and elegent wedding of Lucy and Jamie who both live in Muscat, Oman and were married on 4th April 2011 at Chedi Hotel and Grand Hyatt, Muscat with 120 guests.

It’s a totally gorgeous day which took place on the Muscat beach in 42 degree heat! I Just love a beach wedding and this one is just beauitful! I love the simplicity of this wedidng, no fuss, just pure elegance in this totally stunning venue. I am also loving Lucy’s wedding dress, it really suits her and is something I’d love to wear myself!

Emilie has been kind enouigh to tell us a bit mroe aiout the day, as well as a few words from Lucy.

‘The wedding day was all about celebrating with family and friends. The location was breath-taking. The Chedi hotel is magical. The wedding was very international, the Bride being Australian, the Groom English, set in Oman, in the Middle East, people from all over the world to celebrate this happy moment.’

‘I had a great time shooting the weeding. Lucy and Jamie are my For me, the challenge was the heat that day. It gets really hot in that part of the world, and it was 42 degrees on the beach that day (although, it is normally a bit cooler in April)! The sand was quite hot!
Needless to say, I had to shower in the afternoon!! The crazy thing though, it that it almost never rain in Oman, rarely cloudy, and on that day, we had some white clouds, a few drops of rain (very few). So yes, the weather can never be planned!’

How they met
We have been together for 1 and half years.
We met in muscat and got to know each other when we ended up playing in an amateur drama production!

The proposal
The engagement happened in an helicopter ride above the great ocean road.

Food
The Chedi Hotel has amazing food. There was a buffet with a mix of seafood and various fresh salads, breads, wonderful things, and tasty treats !

Flowers and Decoration
We didn’t have any flowers as it is very hard to get great flowers in Muscat given the heat!
The locations being so amazing, we didn’t have to many decorations, just kept it simple because the grounds were stunning.
For the evening, fairy lights were put up on the terrace of the hotel.
