Saturday Cinema: Erica and Matt’s ‘jumping the broomstick’ by Ever After Videos

Hello you lovely lot and welcome along to another Saturday Cinema . Todays wedding film was sent into me by Sylvia at Ever After Videos . It’s the wedding video of Erica & Matt who were married on 19th August at Walton Hall Hotel, Warwichshire.

The wedding is a classic one, full of beautiful details, and some wonderful splashes of red. It is the emotion of the day that gets me though, the love between Erica and Matt’s friends is so obvious and you can see how much they respect them as a couple. Erica’s speech is just beautiful and the words at the end are guaranteed to make you shed a tear!……….oh and look out for the jumping of the Broom Stick!

I asked Sylvia what her favourite part of the wedding was ‘There are so many things that made this wedding extra special. First of all, Erica had booked us as a surprise for Matt, so it was slightly daunting to turn up at the Matt’s room, luckily he was very happy to see us. He emailed us afterwards to say “Erica and I love the work you’ve done for us. What an absolutely priceless memory. Thanks for the wonderful DVDs; we absolutely loved them – loved them! I am so incredibly glad Erica had the foresight to hire you. Thank you thank you! Terrific work.”
‘What I really loved was the intimate and personal atmosphere. Erica is American, Matt is English, and even though they live in the USA, they decided to get married over here. People came from all over the world to be with Erica and Matt on their day. The Best Man came over from Singapore, and Erica’s bridesmaid had given birth to her baby girl only 3 weeks prior to the wedding, but was determined to make it to the wedding. Throughout the day, and especially during the speeches, you could really feel the love each and every one of the guests felt for Erica and Matt. From the moment we arrived, Erica and Matt made us feel so welcome, and the way they each shared their version of the story of how they got together was just added to the fun.’

What do you think make a good wedding video ‘Personality. If the couple’s personality shines through, if you feel like you get to know them through their wedding film then you’re on to a winner. We always want make a wedding film that reflects what is unique and special about our couples. For us making a wedding film is not about catching the eye candy, however beautiful it all is, it’s about capturing the couple. I love it when I watch a wedding film and think “I wish I had been there”. And that, to me, is always down to the filmmaker’s ability to capture the personality of the couple.’
