Boho Loves: Emily’s Best – Travelling Traditional Sweet Shop

Today I would like to introduce you to a lovely supplier I met last year at the Designer Vintage Bridal Show,  Emily’s Best.  If any of you attend the show you will well remember the amazing pop up sweet shop that was at the entrance, I fell in love with the idea straight away so wanted to share it with you all today.

‘’Delight your guests with our pop-up sweet shop, a magical glimpse into the past offering good old-fashioned service with a smile’’

I asked Emily to tell me a bit more about the business and it’s origins

‘Here at Emily’s Best we love all things vintage; gorgeous afternoon teas, sweets by the quarter, old-fashioned service. Our style is timeless and beautiful, a little bit quirky and lots of fun. The company grew out of our own wedding in 2010 – we couldn’t find exactly what we wanted to make our day special, so we created it ourselves and it proved very popular!’

‘Our Travelling Traditional Sweet Shop is a magical glimpse into the past, and sure to delight your friends and family of all ages. Sweets are weighed out from big glass jars, wrapped up in stripy paper bags (that complement your colour scheme, if you have one) and with 35 varieties to choose from there will be something for everyone.’

‘The shop can be taken virtually anywhere, as long as we have a six foot square area indoors or a 9 foot square outside (to incorporate our marquee).  You can personalise the shop signs with your names, venue and date and choose love hearts or rock featuring your names.’

‘We source our sweets from family run British confectioners to add to the real taste of yesteryear. All ages love a little of something sweet, and we can come to your event any time of day.’

‘Candy buffets and sweet favours are available too, and we also have an extensive range of vintage china and accessories to bring the charm of days gone by to your wedding celebration.’

I’m sure you will agree that this is a fabulous idea, imagine having your own sweety shop at your wedding or event, it would make such a great talking point and keep your guests happy for hours. It certainly went down a storm at The Designer Vintage Bridal Show! for prices go to the website HERE  I think you will be pleasantly surprised!

    Hi

I love the sweets in this profile. My husband made me visit loads of shops to find some sweet tobacco which apparently is quite retro. It tastes quite nice but i think its more of an acquired taste. I love the idea of favours being made with these sweets as well. Great idea.

I came across Emily’s Best at The Vintage Chic Wedding Show in Birmingham at the weekend and was absolutely knocked out! The shop looks fabulous, the sweets are divine and Ruth and Toby who run the whole thing are two of the nicest people you could wish to meet. They deserve huge success with this entertprise.
