It’s not often I get to go to the big London wedding events, as normally I’m working at a wedding, BUT with my wedding season slowing down I decided to get myself down to London for the Luxury Wedding Show which took place at the weekend 22nd and 23rd October at the gorgeous Saatchi building in Sloane Square.
I have to be honest I was a tad nervous about going to the show, issued with a Press Pass I did worry that people wouldn’t have heard of the blog, or just be a bit on the snooty side….this is Sloane Square after all, and I’m just a blogger from Sheffield….well I couldn’t have been more wrong! as everyone was super welcoming and just so friendly. I have been to the Saatchi on several occasion to look at the art, so I wasn’t sure how it would translate into a wedding show venue, but on arrival it was clear that the organisers had done a fabulous job at keeping the beauty of the building and mixing it with a number of beautiful and stylish wedding suppliers.
I’m not going to do a full on report, as I took photos but in all honestly I’m no Jonas Peterson, so it’s best I don’t share them with you. Instead Please go to Kat’s report at Rock n Roll Bride to read her thoughts and see all the pretty pictures that Lisa Devlin took.
What I will say is that I had a great time, I met up with quite a few of my blogging friends, as well as mixing with some new supplier friends and some old ones. There was a great variety of exhibitors and a great variety of Designer Bridal wear. I have loads of people to follow up with but a few of the people who really took my eye were:
Kula Tsurdiu – amazing bridal wear using the most gorgeous Nottingham lace
Temperley – Always stunning and classically elegant bridal wear
Vivienne Westwood – Unique bridal wear for something different
Charlotte Casadejus – Beautiful gowns (as worn by me see image on by blog header)
Candy Anthony – stunning vintage inspired gowns
Luellas Boudoir – amazing collection of bridal wear and accessories
Naomi Tate – Vintage chokers and cuffs

Le papillon Pattiserie – Beautiful and stylish wedding cakes

The fashion show was outstanding, with some really great designers showing their new collections for next season, again head over to Rock N Roll Bride for all of the catwalk show images but for now, here is my favorite dress of the day by Amanda Wakeley……..If I were to get married again, this is what I would be wearing!……I bloody LOVE it!!!
So thank you Luxury Wedding Show London for inviting me along for the day, we all had a great time! I can’t wait for the next one next year!
