Real Weddings: Blue skys for a peak district wedding.

If you read my blog regularly you will know that I am in love with todays photographers work! I have featured Jon from S6 Photography several times, I have worked with him on a number of weddings and have more booked for this year and next, Jon was also my chosen photographer when it came to rocking it out in my Trash the dress shoot.
For this reason I say yes to any wedding he send my way….I don’t care where it is or what sort of wedding it is, I just LOVE hsi style of photography. My main regret about my own wedding is that I didn’t knwo Jon before I got married other wise he would certainly have been my wedding photographer!

Another reason why I wanted to post this wedding is that the best man is my Graphic Designer…a but random, but it always makes a wedding post more speical when you know someone involved in it. Nigel who is the man behind NH Grafiks and has been responsible fro creating my Logo, business cards, website, blog header and flyers, I can’t recomend him enough!

The wedding itself was that of Helen & Adi who got married in March. The wedding took place in the Peak District at the Maynard in Grindleford.
Jon says ‘Absolutely amazing weather for March, you pretty much couldn’t have picked it better. I guess I’m kinda lucky to live in a place with all this on my doorstep for shooting weddings’

These are gorgeous – I love Helen’s dress and her hair and make up, she looks fab. Also a fan of Adi’s socks.

And yes, Jon from S6 is fab, as is your designer! Big admirer of the Boho look here :)

    Hello Kelly,
Wow just found this blog, I was looking at some more of Jon’s work. He’s fantastic! Adi has only just told me that you sent a questionnaire through but thought I’d answer some of the questions above for you if it helps.

My dress was from The Bridal Shop on Eccelsall Road, I can’t recommend Clare enough there, she designed and made all the bridesmaids dresses too. One was 5 months pregnant and she fitted the dresses like gloves!

The Maynard was the most perfect venue for a wedding, we loved every minute of it and can’t thank all the staff there enough.

All the room decorations were designed and made by myself and my friend Leanne, we own a chair cover and venue decoration campany called Opal Strands (you can find us on Facebook) and spent hours sourcing every detail in the room. We designed all the stationary, table plan, table names too. We loved the diamante rings we used on the chairs especially. I just loved purple and olive and think they make the Maynard’s ballroom very opulent.

The flowers were Petalis and again Catherine was fantastic, she is amazing!

The Cake was by Cakes by Lindsey, we tried to keep everything supplied locally.

The socks I have to say were Adi’s idea, think the guys looked fantastic! The hair was done by Hair by Magnolia, my cousin Sara who is very talented.

The band was Carmen Ghia and the Hotrods, Johnny is friends with Adi and they made our evening very special. Everyone had a great time.

If you need any other information please let me know and of course if you need any chair covers you know where I am!
