Featured Venue – Boho Ibiza at El Chiringuito

As you know not only do I plan weddings in the UK, but I also help couples plan them in Ibiza. Boho Ibizawas born after getting married on the ‘white island’ myself, I loved it so much and gained such a great collection of suppliers that I decided to utilise them and help other couples with my experience (plus it’s a great excuse to go back to the island)

So with that I thought it was about time I shared with you some of the lovely venues in Ibiza. It isn’t all night clubs, late nights and partying, there are

some extremely beautiful spots in Ibiza, which makes is perfect for any wedding.

First off I thought I would show you El Chiringuito,I very nearly got married here myself, but went for a Villa wedding instead.

El Chiringuito is a beautiful beach venue, very secluded and private, in the Cala Grassionetta area just next to San Antonio. It has it’s own beach restaurant that will create your very own wedding breakfast, with local Ibiza food. The views are stunning as you look out to the sea. The wedding ceremony will take place outside in the restaurant grounds itself over looking the beach. It became Law 2-3 years a go that you can no longer get married on a public beach. However this venue is perfect as the restaurant leads directly onto the beach, while at the same time offering great privacy!

So what does El Chiringuito say about itslef?

”The fabled beach side restaurant, embraced by woodland and the sea, provides a time honoured mix of traditional seafood and ibicencan fare in a fairy tale location. The restaurant slopes gently onto a small beach and grants an escape from the humdrum of everyday life. 

Many weddings have taken place here, the rural setting and mythical atmosphere lend themselves to a feeling of privacy and ceremonies can be performed in the restaurant itself. 
Daytime at El Chiringuito is filled with the sound of merriment  and the restaurant is filled with diners enjoying the day’s freshest catch. As dusk falls at El Chiringuito the restaurant is illuminated with candles and the chink of wine glasses and tinkle of laughter echo across the sand of the now abandoned beach as people take champagne down to the waters edge, dipping their feet in the still warm sea. Other guests indulge in an authentic Spanish Paella a- house speciality- or freshly grilled sole – expertly cooked by the Ibicencan Chef with the Midas Touch.
On occasion the beach is ablaze with the light from firedancers performing their spectacular show against a backdrop of moonlit sea.’
