Featured Venue: Crow Hill – West Yorkshire

A couple of weeks ago, I went to see a new bride in Huddersfield so decided to make the most of the day and go and visit a new venue and some new suppliers at the same time.
Crow Hill had been recommened to me by Fiona at Firenza Floral Design so I gave them a call and booked myself in for a meeting.

Crow Hill is tucked away on a little road, blink and you’ll miss it….luckily my trusty sat nav after tacking me on a magical mystery tour of the lovely Huddersfield countryside got me there and found the well hidden entrance. A little lane then led me up to a gorgeous 200 year old building……very quaint….and gorgeous in every little detail, from the heart shape flowers on the front door to the gorgeous white garden furniture outside, decorated with tiny little pot plants.

This may seem like quite a traditional venue for me to be recommending, but what I like amount it is the bespoke element to it and also like Hargate Hall that I talked about 2 weeks ago it is a weekend venue.
Couples can hire it out for 1-3 days and it has the capacity to sleep 22 guests. It is privately owned, so no chains…no limitations……just lots of freedom to create the day you want.

The Building itself is fully licensed for weddings and is popular for both civil ceremonies, civil partnerships and humanist ceremonies, due to its lovely grounds and unique country interior.
The Main Drawing room (pictured above) can seat 80 for a ceremony and then 40 for a wedding breakfast.

You can also have use of the red dinning room, conservatory, fully equipped kitchen, gardens and terraces.

If you have a bigger wedding party, or you want to spread out a bit, then Crow Hill has it’s own on sight Marquee that will take 150 guests. It is fully fitted with heating, lighting, it’s own working bar, dance floor, with a choice of lighting, swagging, different size chairs and tables, as well as a whole host of decor. There really are no limitations!

Crow hill sleeps 22 guests and you can hire it out for 1-3 nights. It’s perfect for couples who want to make their wedding a weekend celebration instead of just a day. It opens up so many more possibilities to couples, starting their celebrations on the Friday and carrying on through to Sunday or Monday!
Plus once you hire it, it’s yours and only yours for the weekend, no other brides or grooms for you to worry about and no other unwanted guests.
The cottage itself sleeps 13 with 7 high speck bedrooms.
An additional 12 can sleep between the Cottage and the Lodge, both of which are very well kept, with great views and wonderful facilities.

I really do love this venue it’s very English wedding, which isn’t really me but I can see it’s appeal for other people. The building it self is very well looked after and of a very high spec, it has loads of little details and you can tell that a lot of care and attention goes into keeping it maintained for each couple.

A great venue if you are looking for something a bit different, a weekend wedding is a great idea, and such a lovely place for your guests to stay……great surroundings and a Fabulous wedding venue.
